Recycle of waste tire rubber in a 3D printed composite with enhanced damping properties

چکیده

Management of waste tires has become a leading environmental issue due to the global growth in number produced annually. This work is focused on exploring use Ground Tire Rubber (GTR) new class cost-effective, recycled composite materials. A Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF) desktop 3D printer used produce GTR-based material with up 50% wt. rubber filling. ABS as host matrix. Both microscopic and macroscopic characterization printed composites are performed addition baseline composite. Increasing content from 0 % 50 results approximately 260% improvement overall damping properties. Results also indicate average diameter particles increased amount increased. Presumably, specimens larger yielded longer contact lines polymeric Consequently, energy dissipation improved, resulting enhanced properties composites. The capabilities well low-production cost lightweight characteristics presented GTR-filled yield opportunity for application these GTR-reinforced automotive or other industries making wide variety parts where highly valuable.

A Study on the Effects of Waste Rubber Tire Dimensions on Fine-Grained Soil Behavior

Mashhad city is located on alluvial deposits where the expanded area of this city, especially the central and eastern areas surrounding Imam Reza holy shrine, are built on weak and fine-grained deposits. Therefore, the soil improvement would be inevitable due to construction of high-rise buildings such as hotels and commercial complexes in these areas, as well as restructuring old buildin...

Properties of concrete containing scrap-tire rubber--an overview.

Solid waste management is one of the major environmental concerns in the United States. Over 5 billion tons of non-hazardous solid waste materials are generated in USA each year. Of these, more than 270 million scrap-tires (approximately 3.6 million tons) are generated each year. In addition to this, about 300 million scrap-tires have been stockpiled. Several studies have been carried out to re...

Acoustic Behavior of Hollow Blocks and Bricks Made of Concrete Doped with Waste-Tire Rubber

In this paper, we investigate the acoustic behaviour of building elements made of concrete doped with waste-tire rubber. Three different mixtures were created, with 0%, 10%, and 20% rubber in their composition. Bricks, lattice joists, and hollow blocks were manufactured with each mixture, and three different cells were built and tested against aerial and impact noise. The values of the global a...

Mechanochemical Recycling and Processing of Waste Crosslinked Polymers: Waste Tire Rubber and Waste Xlpe from Cable Scraps

The accumulation and disposal of polymer wastes including waste plastics, waste rubber, waste synthetic fibers and waste composites is a worldwide concern. Until now, there are many technical barriers in recycling polymer wastes with crosslinked structure, such as vulcanized rubber, crosslinked polyolefine and other thermoset materials. In this study, a mechanochemical approach was used to cond...
